Emmy Award for the world-famous Hungarian cinematographer
Marcell Rév received his second nomination for the first time.
He won the most prestigious award in American television at the Emmy Awards, which were broadcast early Monday morning Hungarian time. The Television Academy of Arts and Sciences, which announced the winners in the technical categories over the weekend, nominated Rév’s cinematography for the second time in the Outstanding Cinematography for a Single-Camera Series (One-Hour) category, with the Hungarian filmmaker receiving both nominations for an episode of the Euphoria series.
Along with Marcell Rév’s award, Euphoria was one of the biggest winners of the night, with the series also scooping five technical Emmys.

Another Hungarian Emmy nominee, former Emmy-winning production mixer Tamás Csaba, also nominated for an Emmy for Best Sound Mixing for Mini-Series, Anthology Series or TV and Streaming, was unable to convert his nomination into a trophy this year, with his team from The White Lotus winning.
The 74th Emmy Awards are not over yet: the Academy Gala will take place on 12 September, where the technical categories will be followed by awards for best series and best acting, among others.
